Hi everyone from good old Edinburg. How I miss my hometown and all my friends. Sadly enough whenever I go to Edinburg I never see anyone I knew. I went to my 1st school reunion for the 30th Anniv. I noticed something very disturbing to me. As you would say Whites didn't mix with the Mexican people. No whites sat at my table. What's wrong people. This wasn't so when I was in High School. Maybe I didn't notice such things than as I do now. Distrubing,. Maybe not to you white people. my 42 years. I hope it isn't cause I was minority, but every woman that worked at my office was considered minority and not because of race. For years I was the only minority person until I spoke to my boss and asked why no other Mexican people were hired. It all changed years later as others were hired. You see I trained them for years. As they acquired some experince they went off to other jobs. I was a co-ordinator in my department and White men listened to me. That is why I found it difficult to understand what was going on. It's a terrible thing to notice on a reunion. But I guess things arren't like they used to be.
